INTERIOR ARCHITECT
REFUGEE
RESEARCH
PROJECT
This project was a week-long group charrette, given to us by Endicott College with the
requirements of the United Nations. In this one week, our team had to complete a research project, concept development, schematic design development, along with a completed 3d model and rendered perspectives dedicated to refugees in Somali. My teamwork and time management skills were put to the test during this assignment and were delivered successfully.

The perspectives below show the individual homes, which are made of scrap storage units. these storage are reassembled to configure this shape, which highlights bringing the outdoors in and encourages community integration. The exterior views also highlight the slanted roof, which was designed with a rain water collection system along with a large transom window installed to allow airflow throughout the entire space. The middle two perspectives are views from within the space, which demonstrate the vaulted ceilings, ample amount of natural lighting, and sustainable materials.
